Commonly used with the new Starlink Mini:
Because the Starlink Mini accepts a wide DC input range (12 – 48 V DC) but still needs up to ~60 W for startup and continuous operation, a stable, regulated supply is critical — especially in caravan or RV systems where cable losses and battery sag are common.
Using this Dc converter ensures the dish sees a consistent 24 V supply, mitigating brown-outs or voltage dips that can cause resets or performance issues. This regulated 24 V output also helps preserve performance when long DC power runs are used, and keeps voltage comfortably above the lower end of the Starlink Mini’s input window.
In practice, this reduces drop-outs and maintains Wi-Fi and satellite tracking performance even as loads or cable conditions change — something that direct 12 V feeds without regulation often struggle to deliver in mobile environments.

Remote On/Off
The remote on-off eliminates the need for a high current switch in the input wiring. The remote on-off can be operated with a low power switch or by for example the engine run/stop switch (see manual).
